Now we're halfway through 2017, what better time to recap on some of the year's top tile trends.
Green
The trend for green tone tiles doesn't show any sign of slowing down any time soon, and this hue works just as well in kitchens and hallways, as it does in bathrooms and outside. The Original Style Artworks Collection features some beautiful jewel-tones tiles, whatever the purpose, and some of our favourites are Palm Green, Jade Breeze and Victorian Green.
To replace traditional white, choose a muted hue of green like a pastel mint, which works particularly well in kitchens and bathrooms.
Patterns
Whilst Victorian floor tiles seem to enjoy popularity all year round, these beautifully patterned tiles are still a hot tile trend. Tiles in the Odyssey Tile Collection from Original Style draw inspiration from around the world, and are ideal for kitchens and hallways.
Creative Tiling Patterns
Back in January we brought your attention to some unusual tile layouts you may not have previously considered - if you missed it, check out the post here - and this trend shows no sign of fading just yet.
Stack bond, herringbone and grid layouts are all really popular tiling patterns, and our in-house experts would be happy to advise you on other creative patterns at our showroom in Beverley.
Large Format
Don't be tricked into thinking large format tiles only work well in big rooms; in fact they actually help to optimise the space in smaller rooms too. Big tiles work just as well on walls as they do on floors, and as they need fewer grout lines, a seamless effect can be achieved.
