Ceramic Tile Merchants Answer DIY SOS Call

Ceramic Tile Merchants supplied the tiles, adhesives and grout to the family featured in the BBC One series 'DIY SOS: The Big Build'. The materials were used as part of a life changing transformation to the kitchen and bathroom, including wetroom, of the Liversidge family in Rise, near Skirlaugh.

Mr Liversidge, who was diagnosed with Fabry disease in 2012 and had a further diagnosis for Motor Neurone Disease in 2013, was originally quoted £55,000 to make the necessary changes to his home to allow him to live there comfortably as his illness progresses, with his wife and two young daughters, who will both likely inherit Fabry disease.

The family was selected for the build and volunteer plumbers, electricians, decorators and builders were sourced to help with the project. The project took just 9 days in total, with over 90 volunteer tradespeople working until 2am on some days.
