Fitting out a house extension

A house in Full Sutton was being extended and the owners called on Ceramic Tile Merchants to provide them with the tiles needed to kit out the build.

The open-plan living, dining, kitchen and utility area floor required a stone look with easy cleaning, for which the 450x750mm Tuscan stone flag gave the perfect solution.

We did, however, have the interesting challenge of having to carefully fit the tiles around a circular original feature well, which was discovered when digging for the extension.

The owners are delighted with the result.

The kitchen area was finished off with 105x105mm square Winchester off white wall tiles, with a bugs decoration, creating a nice feature above the aga.

The utility room gave us another challenge and we rose to the occasion, carefully matching the wood of the installed units to the colour of the wall tiles, using pebble in chequer board style alongside the square off white tiles.

The en-suite wet room allowed us to be creative and we provided porcelain floor tiles and Atacama wall tiles, which we combined with 300x300mm Musa Bronce mosaic sheets to make features of the shower and the shelf under the mirror.

Mosaic tiles were again used to good effect in the main bathroom, where a feature alcove was created out of a space which used to be a window.

We provided an on-site service during the build to understand what the client wanted and were able to offer suggestions based on it.

Our clients used us thanks to a recommendation, and were very glad they did.
