It's that time of year when the weather gets warmer and we get the urge spend more time outside, maybe even make some improvements to our gardens... did someone say "barbecue"?
Sandstone is an ideal choice for tiles for outdoor areas. It's hard-wearing and is low-slip too, thanks to the robust sedimentary rock it's formed from.
The coarse feel you would usually associate with sandstone has been softened, so that it feels a lot smoother underfoot, while still having a low risk of slipping.
As well as being a good choice for tiles for outdoor areas, Sandstone also works well indoors, meaning it can be used in both conservatories and patios, tying together the design of your garden.
Limestone is often called the classic stone for interiors. Colours can vary from brilliant whites to charcoal black, and you'll often find slab containing fossil or shell patterns.
Limestone can also be used outdoors as it features a non-slip surface that can be protected well with a simple treatment.
We advise using a protective coat for sandstone which is applied to interiors.
Why not try Ca' Pietra tiles for outdoor areas? They have a range of textured sandstones which are available in a variety of shades.
